Luke Poore is a native of Cozad, Nebraska. He graduated from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. Immediately following, he pursued a Healthcare Management Degree and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bellevue University. In December, Luke will obtain his Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from Clarkson College. Prior to joining Kearney County Health Services, Luke worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant and then Rehabilitation Department Supervisor in Crete, Nebraska. He then became a Multi-Site Director of Rehabilitation in Canon City, Colorado. Wanting to return to Nebraska, Luke then accepted the position of CEO at Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud, Nebraska.
Luke and his wife, Jenny, have a young daughter and they enjoy spending time with family. He also enjoys hunting and fishing.
As the Chief Executive Officer, Luke has the primary responsibility for administration, planning and operations of Kearney County Health Services including Kearney County Hospital, Minden Medical Clinic, Long Term Care and HinterLong Living. Luke also serves as a board member of the Kearney County Medical Foundation.
