Fred is a Kansas native and graduated from Fort Hays State University with a BA in Communications and moved to Hays in “1972” after working in retail and the insurance industry he entered health care in “1980” as the Vice President of Human Resources at St. Anthony Hospital which later became known as Hays Medical Center at which time Fred was promoted to the position of Vice President of Operations. In “1994” Fred moved to Hill City, Kansas where he began working as the Chief Executive Officer for Graham County Hospital and completed his Masters in Healthcare Management through Century University.. After serving in the capacity of CEO for 12 years Fred moved to Minden and became the Chief Executive Officer for Kearney County Health Services.
Fred enjoys playing tennis and he and his wife Jean enjoy visiting their four children, two of which live in Nebraska. He also likes to visit his two sisters also living in Nebraska. Fred has also become a real Husker football fan.
As the Chief Executive Officer , Fred has the primary responsibility for administration, planning and operations of Kearney County Health Services including Kearney County Hospital, Minden Medical Clinic, Long Term Care and HinterLong Living. Fred also serves as a board member of the Kearney County Medical Foundation.
