  Back To School Safety Tips

  • Slow down and obey all traffic laws and speed limits.
  • Be alert and ready to stop.
  • Prepare to stop for a school bus when overhead yellow lights are flashing. Watch for children playing and gathering near bus stops.
  • Watch for children who may dart into the street without looking for traffic. When backing out of a driveway  or leaving a garage, watch for children walking or biking to school.

KCHS’s Radiology Department provides a full range of diagnostic imaging with the latest in imaging technology. In-house services include: computed tomography (CT), x-ray, mammography, and bone density, Doppler echo, MRI, ultrasound and nuclear medicine are contracted are scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Our specially trained registered technologists are committed to providing the highest-quality care. Our state-of-the-art technology allows KCHS the ability to do tests more quickly while providing greater patient comfort. In keeping with the latest technology, KCHS implemented digital computed radiology in 2009 and in concert with Great Plains Radiology stores all the images on picture archiving & communication system. Once the tests performed in the Imaging Department, they will be captured digitally. Images are then available to the Radiologists and Physicians at their workstations in the hospital or clinic via computers. This information is provided much faster and access is easier, so that patient wait time is at a minimum. The complete test is stored on a CD for easy transport to other specialist if necessary.
